When we eat together, when we set out to do so
deliberately, life is better, no matter your
circumstances. Whether its a sad or difficult time,
whether it’s an ordinary-seeming day, or whether
it’s a time of celebration, our lives are enriched
when we share meals together.
When cooking without modern conveniences it makes for interesting problem solving. Like how it takes five hours to get the temp in the wood-fired oven to 500 degrees. Sometimes the measurements are not exact, but when it feels right and tastes good that’s all that matters.
